Our Services

Five Systems, One Standard of Excellence

Every glass balustrade system we supply and install is manufactured to the highest specification, tested to UK safety standards, and fitted by experienced installation teams. Whether you're a homeowner after a clean, frameless finish or a developer procuring for a multi-storey residential scheme, the standard of work is the same.

Frameless Glass Balustrades

Frameless glass balustrades represent the pinnacle of contemporary design. With no vertical posts interrupting the view, our fully frameless systems use precision-engineered channel or patch fittings to hold toughened safety glass panels securely in place. The result is a structure that is simultaneously invisible and utterly confidence-inspiring.

Each panel is manufactured from toughened safety glass — typically 12mm, 15mm, or 17.5mm laminated toughened — selected based on the span, load requirements, and exposure conditions of your installation. All glass meets BS EN 12150 and fully complies with UK Building Regulations Part K.

Whether you're glazing a rooftop terrace, a first-floor deck, or an internal mezzanine, our installation teams work with precision and care to deliver seamless results with no visible fixings.

  • 12–17.5mm toughened safety glass, BS EN 12150 certified
  • Fully compliant with UK Building Regulations Part K
  • No visible fixings — clean channel or patch fitting systems

Glass & Steel Balustrades

Our glass and steel balustrade systems combine the structural reassurance of stainless steel posts and handrails with the clarity and elegance of toughened glass infill panels. This hybrid approach suits applications where a degree of visible structure is desired or required — without sacrificing the transparency that glass delivers.

We specify marine-grade 316 stainless steel for all metalwork, providing excellent corrosion resistance in coastal, urban, and high-humidity environments. Handrails are available in polished, brushed, or powder-coated finishes to match your project's aesthetic requirements.

The glass infill panels can be clear, tinted, or frosted depending on the privacy and light transmission requirements of the space. All glass is independently tested and certification documents are provided as standard.

  • Marine-grade 316 stainless steel posts and handrails
  • 10–12mm toughened or laminated glass infill panels
  • Polished, brushed, or powder-coated finish options

Juliet Balconies

A Juliet balcony — sometimes referred to as a French balcony — is a full-width glass barrier fixed directly in front of a first-floor or higher door or window opening. It provides the feeling of connection with the outside without requiring a projected platform, structural works, or planning permission in most cases.

Our Juliet balcony systems use a clean frameless channel or two-post design, with toughened safety glass panels spanning the full width of the aperture. They're an increasingly popular choice for new-build developments and home extensions, delivering a premium finish at a fraction of the cost of a full projecting balcony.

Installation is typically completed in a single day with minimal disruption. Systems are compatible with timber, steel, and concrete structural openings, and are available with a variety of fixing options to suit your wall construction type.

  • Suitable for new-build and retrofit applications
  • Full-width frameless glass panels — no central post
  • Complies with BS 6180:2011 barrier standards

Glass Staircases

Nothing makes a bolder architectural statement in a home or commercial building than a glass staircase installation. Whether you require glass balustrade panels flanking an existing staircase, a full structural glass design with glass treads, or a glass and steel hybrid with a feature handrail, Outdoor Solutions has the expertise and manufacturing partnerships to deliver.

Our glass staircase installations begin with a detailed site survey to assess the structural conditions, tread dimensions, and aesthetic requirements of your space. We produce detailed shop drawings and, where required, 3D renders before manufacture begins — so you know exactly what you're receiving before a single panel is cut to size.

All glass used in staircase applications meets the enhanced structural requirements for inclined barrier glass and complies with Building Regulations Approved Document K and BS 6180.

  • Structural and decorative glass staircase applications
  • Detailed CAD drawings and 3D renders prior to manufacture
  • Glass, stainless steel, or hybrid handrail options
